Types of oral cancers
Oral cancer includes cancers of the lips, tongue, floor of the mouth, cheeks, throat (pharynx), sinuses, and hard and soft palate. While oral cancer can usually be successfully treated when detected early, most cases of oral cancer are not detected until they have progressed into a more serious, advanced stage that is much more difficult to treat. In fact, oral cancer may be life threatening. In our office we are dedicated to doing our best to detect oral cancers and other abnormalities at the earliest possible stage. During your routine dental cleanings and exams at your appointment, our Dentist or Hygienist will perform an oral cancer screening, it only takes less than a minute but it might just save your life!
We use the latest technology in our office, besides ViziLitePro for Oral cancer screenings, also digital impressions with iTero and Laser treatments with Waterlase Express or EpicX from Biolase.

By using our ViziLitePRO screening system, we can provide you with a comfortable, quick oral cancer screenings, and they are included in your routine exam, as a New Patient or when you come back for cleanings or treatment. Some insurance plans are starting to catch up and cover the oral cancer screenings, but even if they don't we'll offer this complimentary service at no cost, our Patients' oral and overall health is as important to us as it is to you!
